Hi friends! My name is Julia Robleski and I am the voice behind the brand, Julia’s Plate. Started in 2016, Julia’s Plate is the place where I share recipes, meals ideas, sweet treats, and just life in general. All of my recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free, and most can be easily adapted to be vegan and nut-free as well. I want Julia’s Plate to be a place where anyone can come to find something to eat, no matter what their food intolerances or preferences are. Everyone deserves a great plate!
I also focus on using whole ingredients in my recipes, because I believe that is the best way to fuel our bodies for our busy lives. I am a firm believer in the idea that healthy food can and should taste good, and this is the idea the fuels my recipe development. In addition, I strive to make recipes that are approachable-anyone can make them, no matter their prior cooking experience, and they are made with ingredients that are easy to find in stores.
As a college student, I know it can be difficult to find time to meal prep, cook healthy dinners, and grocery shop. Here on Julia’s Plate, you’ll find all kinds of resources for meal prepping, cooking in small spaces, grocery shopping, and cooking healthy meals for a small number of people.
Julia’s Plate has followed me through life these past few years, and as I have grown and adapted, my brand has grown and adapted with me. When I first started my blog, I was in a very unhealthy place; far too focused on food and exercise, and in the middle of my battle with anorexia nervosa. By the grace of God, I am now in recovery from my eating disorder, but it is one of my missions to help those who are struggling with similar battles, and to prevent others from following the path that I did. My battle with my eating disorder has been the most difficult part of my life, and I will always do everything I can to help others. I believe that food is fuel for our bodies, and that it is meant to be enjoyed and shared with those that are special to us. Creating recipes and learning to cook and bake has been one of the most important ways for me to heal my relationship with food, and I want to provide the same opportunity for other people to fall in love with the creative outlet that is making delicious food.
I’m so excited that you’re here and I can’t wait to cook together! You can find me on Instagram at @juliasplate, on Pinterest at @juliasplate, and on Facebook at Julia’s Plate.
