    February 3, 2022juliasplate

Today’s the day! Finally making a permanent blog home for my most popular recipe EVER…Microwave Baked Oats! This recipe is seriously like having dessert for breakfast. It’s got the same flavor and texture of oven baked oatmeal, but it’s ready in 10 minutes instead of an hour!  There are so many variations of this recipe, I will probably have to make a Baked Oatmeal tab on the blog, but for now, here it is! ENJOY and be sure to tag me on Instagram if you make this recipe!  Ingredients You’ll Need for these Baked Oats:  Quick oats Almond milk  Maple…

  • A Week of Healthy Breakfasts: Day 4

    January 8, 2022juliasplate

The fourth breakfast in this series is one of my favorites! Quick story time: I actually decided to do this series because I was really stuck in a rut of making the same thing every day, and since then, I’ve been having this yogurt bowl all the time! It’s so delicious and it’s a really nice change from my usual warm breakfasts. Although it is freezing outside right now, so maybe I actually should be sticking to the warm bowl of oats? Who knows, but this is a good one!

  • A Week of Healthy Breakfasts: Day 3

    January 5, 2022juliasplate

Welcome to Day 3 of the week of healthy breakfasts! This plate is so dreamy…especially if you love a combination of apples and cinnamon. This breakfast would be perfect for a day where you’re in a bit of a rush and have a lot to get done. It’s got a great mix of carbs, protein, fiber and fats!  I’d recommend pairing this one with a cup of hot coffee or even a tea (but make sure it’s caffeinated because you all know we never start a morning without caffeine). You could also sub the sliced apples for sliced pears and…

    December 29, 2021juliasplate

Welcome back to the week of healthy breakfasts! Today, we’re making a delicious plate of GF toast and an egg scramble with some fruit! This is a classic meal that I actually have for lunch too quite a bit! It’s super quick to make a great for a day where you don’t have a ton of time. It pairs well with a hot cup of coffee or tea!  I usually top the toasts with some ghee, and then put the egg scramble on top and eat it as an open-faced sandwich! SO GOOD. How-To Below!

  • Cocoa Date Pecan Butter

    January 7, 2021juliasplate

This year, I’ve been trying to start making as many things at home as I can. It’s been so fun and I just love knowing exactly what’s in my foods and how they’re made. So, last summer, I started making my own nut butter at home! I was always intimidated by it because I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make it and if it would be as good as my favorite store bought brands! This recipe is the first nut butter that I made, but there are four more that I’ll be sharing soon! I’ve got to say…

  • Cinnamon Sugar Granola

    January 7, 2021juliasplate

Hi friends! I’m so excited because today I’m sharing one of my favorite recipes! I love a crunchy granola recipe. Making granola at home is the best because it is so much cheaper than purchasing granola at the store, and you can customize it with any flavors that you want! This granola is flavored with cinnamon and coconut sugar, and it has the perfect crunch. I like to use my granola to top oatmeal, yogurt bowls, or to have as a snack with fruit. Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Granola:  Oats Flax Seeds 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts Melted Coconut…

  • Sugar + Spice Baked Oats

    January 5, 2021juliasplate

Now that it’s officially winter and it’s snowy and cold, I’m all about the cozy recipes, especially for breakfast! In my family, we LOVE to make a big pan of baked oatmeal every Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s such a cozy, comforting breakfast and we just love it. Lately, I’ve also been making single serve baked oats in the microwave during the week. The big pan in the oven takes 40 minutes to bake, so when I’m busier during the week, I like to make these smaller sizes. This week’s flavor is Sugar + Spice! It’s got the spice of…
