Almond Tiramisu

Many people have been asking if I have an almond recipe on my blog, and unfortunately, this is the first one I’m sharing with you. But I’m confident you’ll love it.

This creamy and delicious Italian dessert is famous worldwide, much like the Truffles I made earlier. I have plans to create many other variations of Tiramisu, but since I had almonds and other ingredients on hand, I decided to make an Almond Tiramisu.

Some of you keep asking me what ladyfinger cookies I use, Weel there are lots of options you can use, I prefer Balocco Savoiardi Ladyfingers which are based on Wheat Flour, Sugar, and Whole Eggs, But even homemade ones are perfect for this recipe.

How to Make Almond Tiramisu?

Step 1:

Start by whipping the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until it forms stiff peaks, creating a light and fluffy texture.

Step 2:

In a separate bowl, blend together the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, almond extract, and amaretto liqueur until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 3:

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, ensuring that they are thoroughly combined without deflating the cream.

Step 4:

Next, pour the cooled coffee into a shallow dish to prepare for soaking the ladyfinger cookies.

Step 5:

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee, ensuring they are moistened but not overly soaked, as soggy ladyfingers can affect the texture of the dessert.

Step 6:

Arrange a layer of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, creating a sturdy base for the tiramisu.

Step 7:

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the layer of ladyfingers, ensuring full coverage for a deliciously creamy texture.

Step 8:

Repeat the layering process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture, creating multiple layers of flavor and texture.

Step 9:

Once all the layers are assembled, cover the baking dish with plastic wrap to seal in the flavors and prevent any odors from affecting the dessert.

Step 10:

Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, allowing the flavors to meld together and the dessert to set properly. After that add the finishing touches by dusting the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder for a hint of chocolatey flavor, then enjoy it.
