Nish Nosh Salad
I made this salad to enjoy a crispy salad with lots of veggies and avocado, with the creamy dressing on top and the different flavors you have each bite, this Nish Nosh Salad is a perfect Salad you can have any time in your day.
Usually, the Nish Nosh Salad can be made with only cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. It also has protein-rich chickpeas and a tasty dressing made with olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper. Optionally, the (crumbled feta cheese) is optional. But I made it in my way and you should too.
I skipped the chickpeas and went with shrimp instead. Yes, you read it right. I prefer shrimp in the salad, especially in creamy and crispy salads like this one. However, chicken or even salmon would work great too. so don’t be afraid to be creative and use the extra ingredient you like the most.
But just so you know, I’ve made the classic Nish Nosh Salad before with its usual ingredients and cooking method, and I really liked it. Sometimes, I like to experiment and come up with new methods and ways for my recipes, it’s a fun hobby for me.

To make it, you mix salad greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, avocado, and cooked chickpeas in a big bowl. Then, you drizzle the creamy dressing over it and gently mix everything. You can even add some crumbled cheese on top if you like. It’s super easy to make and tastes so good.
Nish Nosh Salad is a special salad that lets you explore new ways and ingredients, just like I did by adding shrimp, which isn’t usually used in it. And guess what? The results were amazing! The taste was so delicious and enjoyable. It’s fun to try new things and make the salad your own!

To make Nish Nosh Salad, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup of Shrimp
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper

How to Make Nish Nosh Salad
Step 1:
First, let’s make the yummy dressing! In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1 teaspoon of honey, a tiny bit of minced garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Set it aside.
Step 2:
While preparing the dressing, cook the shrimp separately, sauté the shrimp until they are cooked through. Season them with salt and pepper, then set aside to cool slightly.
Step 3:
Next, in a big bowl, mix 2 cups of salad leaves, some halved cherry tomatoes (about 1 cup), sliced cucumber, a little bit of red onion, diced avocado, and some cooked chickpeas.
Step 4:
Now, pour the dressing over the salad and gently mix it all together so everything gets coated in the yummy dressing.
Step 5:
If you like, sprinkle some crumbled cheese on top, I love to Add it, it makes the salad even better.

Tips
- As I add Shrimp, you can also add any meat you like, such as pork, chicken, or even Salmon, I’m sure any meat added to this Nish Nosh Salad, will make it much better.
- When tossing the salad with the dressing, be gentle to avoid bruising or mushing the ingredients. sometimes this happened to me.
- Taste the salad as you mix it. This allows you to adjust the seasoning or add more dressing if needed.
- Some people love to layer ingredients in the bowl rather than mixing them all at once.
- Nish Nosh Salad is best enjoyed fresh, so serve it immediately after tossing it with the dressing.
- f you don’t have all the ingredients for the dressing, you can simply drizzle some olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice over your salad.
What to Eat with this Nish Nosh Salad?
You can enjoy Nish Nosh Salad with a variety of meals and drinks! For me, since I have shrimp ready, I made a Shrimp Scampi Fritta and tried it with it, the taste was so good, it’s a perfect meal for seafood or especially Shrimp dishes lovers.
As for drinks, Just an iced tea or sparkling water with a splash of citrus would be perfect. And don’t forget about freshly squeezed lemonade.
