This is the first time I’m sharing a recipe inspired by Morton’s Steakhouse here on my blog. This Chicken Christopher Recipe is so delicious and perfect for people who love tender, juicy chicken with a flavorful sauce.
The original recipe doesn’t include mushrooms, but since I love mushrooms in my sauce, I added them. The mushrooms make the sauce extra tasty and juicy, with lots of flavors. But you can definitely leave them out if you prefer. The recipe includes just a few simple ingredients, and the cooking process is also very simple.
I got the recipe from a friend who works at Morton’s Steakhouse. To be honest, he didn’t give me all the ingredients, just the basics. The taste turned out so delicious and creamy, almost like the original one.

How to Make Morton’s Steakhouse Chicken Christopher Recipe?
Step 1:
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook on both sides, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3:
In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are so tender about 5 minutes.
Step 4:
Pour in the white wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the thyme and rosemary.
Step 5:
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
Step 6:
Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly. Serve your chicken with the sauce on top, I love to enjoy it with some Brocolie and some fried carrots. and sometimes some garlic bread.
Tips
- The mushrooms are not necessary, you can make the sauce without it, I just love to use it.
- Make sure there’s enough space in the pan for the chicken and mushrooms to cook evenly. Don’t squish them all in at once.
- Taste the sauce while it’s cooking, and add more seasoning if you think it needs it.
- Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for a little while so it can soak up all the yummy flavors.
