  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

How to Make This Wendy’s Chili Recipe

Step 1: Cook the Ground Beef

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef on medium heat until it is done.
  2. While it is cooking, cut the meat into small pieces and this will take about 7-10 minutes.
  3. After it is cooked, drain off the excess fat to avoid making the chili too fatty.

  1. In a pot, sauté the vegetables of your choice with a little oil on medium heat until they are tender.
  2. Put the chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery into the pot with the beef.

Step 3: Adding the Beans and Tomatoes

  1. Now, stir in the kidney beans, pinto beans, and diced tomatoes with the juice, tomato paste, and tomato sauce.

  1. Next, add the chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, sugar, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Stir the chili to mix in the spices.

Step 5: Bring the Chili to a Boil

  1. Add the cup of water to the mixture and stir for a while.
  2. Allow the chili to cook for at least an hour.
  3. The longer it cooks the better it tastes, therefore, if you can afford to wait, let it cook for 2-3 hours.

Of course, this is really up to you, it will make the recipe taste nicer. You’ll need about 4 cups of chopped tomatoes. You may need to add a tomato paste to get the same texture.
